Sandy Harbrecht is president and CEO of Paul Werth Associates, a 55-year-old communications consulting firm, advising C-suite executives on leadership communication and influence, reputation and issues management, as well as corporate brand-building. She serves on a number of nonprofit and advisory boards, including the Ingram/White Castle Foundation and the Deans’ Advisory Councils for the colleges of engineering and business at The Ohio State University. She is a former chair of the board of trustees (and presidential search committee chair) for Kent State University. She also serves as a director on the boards of Motorists Mutual, Motorists Life, Motorists Commercial Mutual and The Davey Tree Expert Company.
Sandy is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), a past chair of the Society’s Counselors Academy and a founding member of the Council of Public Relations Firms. In 2010 she was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. Sandy earned “Public Relations Practitioner of the Year” from PRSA in 2016. In 2017, she was named a CEO of the Year by Columbus CEO magazine.
She graduated at the top of her class with a Master of Business Administration and a master’s in education from The Ohio State University. She is a magna cum laude graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science.
