Mark Peacock has been named senior vice president, chief human resources officer, for Motorists Insurance Group, effective Feb. 1, 2019.
This announcement comes after Terri McCormick, current senior vice president of human resources, recently announced her retirement date of Jan. 31, 2019.
“We are thrilled to promote Mark to this senior leadership position. We have full confidence he will pick up right where Terri leaves off,” Motorists Insurance Group President and Chief Operating Officer TJ Obrokta Jr. said. “Terri has been an instrumental member of our senior leadership team and will be missed. We wish her the best in her retirement.”
Peacock began his career with Motorists in 2005 as assistant vice president, human resources. He was promoted to vice president in 2015. With more than 27 years of experience in human resources and 25 of those years in the insurance industry, Peacock holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designations.
“We couldn’t ask for a better individual to step into this role,” Motorists Insurance Group CEO Dave Kaufman said. “Mark has demonstrated great value in his tenure here, and we are eager to have him as a part of our senior leadership team.”
Peacock holds a master’s degree from Ohio University.
